Sorry for the delay

Well its been awhile I haven't posted up anything just to keep you notified I am still training ,but at home.I 've found numerous simple workouts that work just fine to keep me in shape and still be able to dunk. 3 days I went back to my old college and was still dunking trying new things. With my studies overwelhming me abit ,I'm taking it slower but I am planning sometime in january or feb to get a new camcorder and start filming some stuff.keep a look out.

For everyone out there a good website I recommend is bodybuilding.com you might ask yourself why this website well there is some great programs for vertical jump TRUST me.
I myself had to work to get my vertical where its at now ----It wasn't natural
so I searched a lot and this was one website that gave me a lot of ideas and extra programs check it out.

early morning workout

I'm feeling great, i broke some sweat this morning at 7 am at my old school the gy was open iw as shooting around and praticing my vertical jump my routine for the warm up

skipping ropes:2 mins
10 lays left and right hand both sides
and 10 free throws shots

Now the dunk session:
same thing as the lays 10 on each side but with the hand you most comfortable all one foot
next 10 on each side but a variety of two legged and one legged dunks

after that some more shooting to warm up your arms and shoulders and then i proceeded to the innovative stuff.

I did a a series of 10 dunks that i never did to try and see what comes out of it.

I realize throughout my journey that trying new thing is the way to go. Like they say " you never know unless you try and its true. I did a self lob jumped two foot and caught that socker back but it went in and out. I had a great day soo far and on my next blog i will post the up coming monday the training session and the exercises you do those your in for a surprise trust me.

Its pretty hard this is my 3rd week im starting to get the hang of it .Its good for one leg strength.Anyways until next time.Next clip a dunk session 101 the basics.

My ever lasting journey

Well.. its been forever i havent logged in , I even alsmot forgot about my blog.Although one thing reminded me of it its my passion for the dunk , so i continue to write and fill you (the public)with what could be useful to you .Right now I just started jumpsoles my vertical jump is great , i can dunk whenever im more consistent, now im just praticing coordination and and a few different dunks after seeing CITYSLAM 2008 it got me pumped up again to continue my training . My ultimate goal would be to to compete in CITYSLAM and to be the first to touch the top of the backboard sounds crazy and unrealistic but it has to be done one day and i plan to make that dream come true atleast in the near future hopefully. I don't have any videos since i still need a camcorder .

Random blog

I was doing some calculations to set a goal so the rim is 10 feet-120 inchs I myself is 74 1/2 rounded up 75 inchs tall without my shoes nor my reach = 45inchs . So i would need 45 inchs to touch the rim with my head if this all sounds correct.

Standing with my reach extended i can touch 8feet which equals 96 inchs

120 inchs the rim- 96 inchs = 24 inchs need to the touch the rim

My hand from my middle finger to the beginning of my wrist is 8 inchs,so i need 8 inchs to surpass the rim. Therefore I would need 32 inchs to dunk the ball one hand or two hand with ease. The rim i dunk on is 10 feet 2inchs since its double rimmed. I havent officially measured my vert this is all from calculations but my standing somewhere around 27-28 and one step 32.

Anyways enough with the calculation my predictions for the NBA playoffs celtics will fall to pistons in 7 game and lakers beat spurs in 7.Should be an exciting series!!! till next time

Week 11-/ M.V.P

It's been awhile I havent posted anything , My journey as been a great one, one more week to go and Im DONE couldn't be happier. I progress slowly but surely I tested my vertical the other day by having a little dunk practice session, where i jumped off one foot i usually don't, but hey i have to be versatile. I noticed i jump much more effortlessly, and when i do force myself i get up much higher.Another improvement is my take off i was shocked i woudlnt say i was jumping from the free throw line, but i was jumping a good 6-7 foot away from the basket. my upper body is getting stronger and soo is my lower body ESPECIALLY my lower body with all the workouts i've been doing it paid off i feel injury free!!!!

Aside from all off that i've been training with my cousin an NCAA D-1 bound for the 2008-09 season we've been training footwork doing speed drills mannnnnnnnnn is it ever tiring.I still didnt get the chance to buy a camcorder although the day i get it im sure will be the day im going to show some impressive high flying stuff. Until next time.

Week 5-/ M.V.P

I started taking protein shakes to help me with my workout .I usually go workout and then when i'm done i have to go to work. So on my first workout of the week i've been having a little bit of difficulties with the hip raise which targets the glutes and hams. the good news is i've dropped from 7.8 % body fat to 6.8 % with this nutrition regimen im following and the protein shake and supplements that i am taking and gained 1 pound of muscle in 1 week not bad for eating s regular 2-3 meals. The supplements is called HERBALIFE i def recommend it. I hear the more your body fat is lower the higher your vert leap and its definetly true, I feel my body alot more stronger. I didn't really have time to test my vert nor really practice ,but tommrow is my vert practice.

WEEK-4 M.V.P/

Well i started late this workout session tuesday was my first day followed by today ,tommorow i do my last day before moving on to week 5. The workout took me about 45 mins filled of sweat and exhaustion , and i assure you i coudln't do much after that .I coudn't shoot nor could i dunk that well. Later i went to college saw some friends from the ball team and started shooting around in sweatpants and casual shoes , for some reason i felt the rim were low even though it was 10ft and i dunked with standing vert , that was my first time usually i have to take one step , then the one step i took was effortless. Hopefully if ill get a video of some of the vert training i'm doing up soon.

Jump program's finished

For my first blog I though i would give ya'll an insight on some of the programs I've done and finished. The first one was Air alert 3 which I did in 2005 with a partner, the results both me and him didnt get anything except for endurance, the program is pratically completly similar to the newer version. It was a GRUELING 15 weeks no joke the reps got more and more ridiculous after the weeks went on. As for the knee injuries that people claim me and my friend didnt not notice anything of the sort, we were just more winded out.Was it worth???? Maybe you if you want to gain Mental focus and determination and that you can conquer adversity. 3.2/10 my rating

The 2nd program i finished just a month ago was GO Up STRONG i got it free from a friend. Its a good program for beginners and its especially encouraging when you know you have to do it only for 4 weeks, although the negative is its 5 days a week if you got time to commit then your set. Its not a complete program, you got HAVE to modifie somethings in it, I tweaked it abit added some small stuff to it..such as ABS!! Was it worth it ?? Not bad I would say, i gained a little bit of agility, speed and explosion, but nothing overwelming rating: 6/10 if modified, not modified 4.7/10

I'll keep ya'll posted on the program i'm now on, M.V.P week 3 starting tommorow.
